PASTA AND POLENTA

Dinner with the chef includes many dishes to satisfy your palate. This evening, Chef Gray will be making homemade pasta with ravioli plus some other wonderful Italian fare. If you haven’t tried this class, you are missing out on a good time with good food. Bring a bottle of wine and a friend to share in the health of good eating. LIFESOUTH BLOOD DRIVE

Give the gift of life by donating blood. LifeSouth will be set up in the parking lot of One Nineteen. No registration is necessary.

CPR FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS
January 25
6-8:30 p.m.
This course is a classroom-based, practice-while-you-watch DVD and instructor-facilitated program on how to perform the basic skills of CPR in adults, children, and infants and how to help an adult, child, or infant who is choking. It is designed for parents, family members, friends, older siblings, and babysitters age 11 and older, who want to learn CPR but do not need a course certification card. COMPREHENSIVE DIABETES EDUCATION

GIRL POWER

A class designed to help girls 8-12 understand and accept the natural changes that occur with early adolescence. The program addresses developing a positive self-image while accepting the physical changes that accompany puberty. For girls and a female adult relative or friend. $5/girl. GRANDPARENTING: MAKING IT GRAND!

This is a fun and informative interactive class for expectant grandparents. Class discussion will include a review of normal newborn characteristics, safety guidelines for home and car, and some do’s and don’ts for 21st century grandparenting. $10/couple. Call Dial-A-Nurse at 939-7878 to register.

TEEN BOOT CAMP
Monday/Wednesday 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Designed for teenagers 13 to 16 years old, this camp motivates teens to be actively involved. Personal training, with fitness specialists Tiffany Harris and Haley Jasper, is included in the program. Each session lasts one hour and includes a healthy snack. A family session allowing you to join your teen during a workout session every other week is included. Four-week session $150/person.

BEGINNING HOOP DANCE
Tuesday and Thursday 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Join the adult hula hoop fitness class and burn 300-600 calories per hour class. Ann Kirkwood teaches hula hoop basics and fun fitness dance moves. No hoop experience necessary. Hoops are provided for each class. Free for members, $15/class or 5 class pass is $60 for non-members.
